Wedding Card

This card was created for a friend. The lace background on the card was cut from Mother's Day 2010. I inked it with Versa Mark and covered it in Stampin Up's Dazzling Diamonds. The bride and groom were cut from the Wedding cartridge. Again, I covered the bottom of the bride's dress with Versa Mark. I then applied clear embossing powder and my heat tool. The bride was dressed up with a few gems that I picked up at my local dollar store. Her veil was a little bit of scrap ribbon that I knotted with pink ribbon and attached with a hot glue gun.

Cupcake Wrapper

My cousin and sisters threw me the most lovely baby shower many months ago. Rather than a cake they decided to go for cupcakes. Not only were the cupcakes delicious, they looked beautiful on the table. It was then that I decided all cupcakes needed to be dressed up when served. This photo is an example of the cupcake wrappers I designed to ensure that all cupcakes I serve look as lovely as those made for me : )

Stitched Card

I have been so eager to try stitching on my cards so I was super excited to come across a little stitching template at my local scrapbooking store. The template is great - you just pierce the holes and hand stitch the design. Since orange is one of my favorite colours I was pretty happy to find this embroidery thread. The flower was cut from the Wild Card cartridge, covered with Versa Mark and heat embossed using clear embossing powder. The gem in the center of the flower is a little treasure I found at the dollar store. Stamp used: Stampin' Up: Warm Words.

Daisy Gem

Although the Wild Card cartridge was a bit overwhelming at first I have found so many treasures on it with each new use. This cut is one of my favorites! I love the bubbly flower. I found the large center gem at a local dollar store and new that it would be perfect for this card!

Fresh Cuts

A little creation inspired by a demonstration by a Stampin' Up representative. To obtain the SVG for this card click here.

Daisy Cut

Inspired by a couple of cards I made at a Stampin' Up demonstration I had to get busy creating! The flower was designed and cut using SCAL The petals on ths one are the remains of the cut above. The stamp set used was Stampin' Up's Fresh Cuts ... I LOVE that set! Toss in a little jewel that I picked up in the dollar bin at Michael's and both cards are all dazzled up for their receivers : )

Spring Flowers

The weather is getting nice and I felt like using that as inspiration for the image on this card! I am going to include this in a package of cards I am preparing for my aunt. The stamp in from last years Sale-A-Bration with Stampin' Up.

Ten Little Piggies!

A really easy card made using the New Arrival Cartridge. Since having my daughter I can't stop using this cartridge. There are so many great images on it but the little feet are one of my favorites! I made MANY of these cards as thank yous for all of the wonderful wishes that friends and family sent at the birth of my angel.

Easter Baskets

I am continually surprised by how much I am enjoying the Designer Calendar cartridge! The funny thing is, I don't even own it - I just keep borrowing it off my sister : ) I wanted to make up little packages for my niece and two little nephews. I found cute and inexpensive little buckets at Wal Mart that started things off. After gathering all of the fillings for the buckets I journeyed home and cut out both the egg and the text from the Designer Calendar cartridge. I was very pleased with the detail on the egg. Needless to say, the kiddies were excited by their packages!

St. Paddy's Day Swap

After playing around with the Designer's Calendar cartridge I came across this simple clover. I layered it onto some Bazzill cardstock - Petty Cash. One more layer underneath - a little scalloped circle cut form Mini-Monograms. Throw all of this together and it comes together as a simple little St. Paddy's Day card. I made up a little bag of embellishments that were a variety of greens for my fellow swappers to enjoy.

Valentine's Party Treats

These creations were made for my daughter's little playgroup friends. Although all of the children are well under a year old, I am sure their parents will enjoy the candies in the goody bags. The lollipop was decorated with a scalloped circle cut from the Celebrations cartridge and stamped with Stampin' Ups 'Think Happy Thoughts' stamp set. The treat bag tag was cut in SCAL. Valentine Colour Challenge

Curtis from the Cricut Message Board challenged us to create a Valentine's Day card using non-traditional colours. The colour choice was simple when I fell upon this most fantastic black and sparkly paper. The heart is from Doodlecharms and the text - love, is from Home Accents. The edging is a Fiskars boarder punch.

Valentine's Day Swap

The shaker card was another for the card swap. The bags housed the embellishments that I was including as part of the swap. The shaker card and the treat bags were designed in SCAL and cut on my Cricut.

Valentine's Day Swap

These creations are the result of my fist ever card swap. One of my resolutions for 2010 has been to use my Expression daily : ) The cards were cut using SCAL on my Cricut Expression. I love making spinner cards so it was pretty clear that I would have to come up with a little design that would allow for a spinning heart : ) The heart is stamped with Versa Mark and heat embossed with Blushing Pink Pastel embossing powder. To obtain the SVG for the spinner card template click here for the bottom layer and here for the top layer. The stamps used are Stampin' Up, Simply Said and a little heart that I found in the dollar bin at Michaels. I used a Fiskars punch for the laced edges.
